Happy Mother's Day

I already called and wished my mom a happy Mother's Day, but just thought I'd say a few words here on the blog...

I appreciate my Mom so much. I was not an easy child or teenager to raise. I'll admit: I was a brat! Unfortunately, I remember the tantrums I put her through. I remember the battles as a teenager. I'm ashamed to say that I remember thinking that I hated her. After I went away to school without my mommy, I realized what a treasure she really was! I'm so thankful that we are as close as we are today. No, I do not live close to her... but we have a great relationship. She has provided love and encouragement when I've needed it the most. I call her about everything from baking questions to life decisions. I appreciate the fact that she is willing to give her advice, but she has wisdom to know when I need to make my own decisions about issues. I'm so thankful for everything she has done for me in the past and present! She's the best!!
