Who Created GOD?

Today my 4 year old was looking through her children's Bible. She was especially looking at the pictures of creation. As I watched her eyes fall on Adam and Eve, birds, water, etc., she looked up at me and asked, "Who made God?" I replied, "God has just always been around." She looked at me as if I might be joking. So I said, "Before people, animals, or water were around, God was here. Nobody made Him. He was just... here." I could tell the little wheels in her mind were turning, but she accepted my answer and continued to look through her book. I remember trying to fathom the same issue when I was young. My mind would go in circles thinking about God and His awesomeness. I would delve into comprehending other issues such as eternity, and still, my mind felt as if it could explode. How can time go on and on and...?... But even today as I think on these things, my mind is full of awe. He is, was, and always will be. He is supreme! Alpha and Omega. I still can't comprehend time never having an end, but I am looking forward to being in God's presence forever. How can I imagine seeing Jesus? How can I imagine a place with no heartaches? How can I imagine a place where there is no sickness? How can I imagine never saying "good-bye" to friends and loved ones who have made it home? It is hard to imagine these things because I have never experienced them having no end. We can experience God's presence, we can go through times of joy, health, and fellowship here on earth, but to realize that these things will be experienced eternally FOREVER is amazing. It is hard to fathom the awesomeness of God and His ways, but it just shows how powerful He truly is.... And to think--He is my bestfriend.

It's so neat to "see" kids think!
