On the Mend

We have just about recovered from our stressful week. Friday morning I cleaned Harmony up after I was sure she was better. I was really busy doing all the "sick" laundry, cleaning, and disinfecting everything (I still have a pile of laundry to fold!). David woke up early and then went back to bed until about noon. That's about the time I found something quite alarming in the kitchen trash can. I went to throw something away and this is what I found:
Yes, Harmony's beautiful blonde hair was pathetically staring up at me as I gasped in horror. I literally ran to find out what she left on her head. I found her and yelled, "She cut her hair!" David and I both examined her new "do" in disbelief. We gave her a stern talking to and now she sports barrettes to keep it from looking too horrible. Luckily she could not reach the back of her hair. So it's short on the sides and long in the back. When I told my mom about it she recalled me cutting my hair as a 3 year old. I must have walked and cut because she had to follow the trail. She didn't know what she was going to find when she got to the end of it.
Hopefully this week will go better than the previous. Here's the little stinker...

I am laughing, but not AT you. Grandma Mills was telling me about this incident and Hannah overheard it and wanted to know what we were talking about. Let me say we had a discussion right then and there about what we do with scissors! In the midst of cleaning up spills and messes from a 3 yr old, I try to remind myself that someday we will wish for these days! It helps make it a little less frustrating. Grrr

You guys really are having quite the time :) I hope things will start settling down for you before too long!! I guess about all you can do is laugh, at least that is better than crying :)
I do really enjoy your blog, and some days, it helps me to get my "perspective" back in focus - Thanks!!
I sent you another invite, what happens is that you have so many days to answer the invite or it expires(not really sure why Blogger set it up that way), so maybe that is the problem ...let me know!
